         The Welfare State

From Google
The welfare state is working and not working in the United Kingdom in the same time because some people are benefiting for it and some don’t. There are lots of poor people in the UK and it is hard to satisfy all of them in the same time. Some people try to fake their illness to benefit from this welfare state producers and that is unacceptable. People apply to it with serious illness and don’t get accepted and people with fake situations and that are inappropriate and unfair. Back home the welfare state is not working and people struggle enormously.

According to Rgu (2014) Asa Briggs  specified three principal elements of the UK Welfare State . These were
  • a guarantee of minimum standards, including a minimum income;
  • social protection in the event of insecurity; and
  • the provision of services at the best level possible.

From Google
 According to (GOV.UK 2014) ''The benefits system needs to be reformed to be fair, affordable and able to reduce poverty, worklessness and welfare dependency. This will make sure people are helped to move into work while the most vulnerable get the support they need.''
